A call for a PPP and Research Uptake expert within the framework of the Netherlands – CGIAR partnership has been launched. The Dutch government considers Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Research Uptake to be crucial in achieving the SDGs. The expert is therefore intended to increase the role of the private sector (for-profit and not-for-profit) in CGIAR Research Programs (CRPs) and Platforms. The Third International Workshop of the Applied Research Fund (ARF) took place from February 13 till 16, 2018 in Addis Ababa. The focus of this workshop was to enhance research impact for Food and Nutrition Security by strengthening the competence of ARF project consortium members in the areas of theory of change development, impact pathways, knowledge co-creation, and research uptake. »

In this blog he describes his reflections on the main concept of the international ARF workshop in February 2018, aiming at the improvement of research for business and food security development through co-creation and research uptake. »

The Knowledge Portal started in March 2015 and was evaluated by means of a survey end 2017. This survey revealed that overall, the respondents are positive about the Portal in its current format. Clearly, the different backgrounds and interest of the respondents asks for different needs, but the overall consensus is that the Portal has added value for professionals working in the field of Food and Nutrition Security. »
