The Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme challenges teams of Bachelor students to contribute to Food & Nutrition Security (FNS) by working on real-life cases of Dutch embassies in Africa. Students can now register: selected teams will work for a period of three months on consultancy assignments and pitch their final ideas for the embassies and Dutch FNS experts.  »

The fifth edition of YEP Effect has been released, informing about the impact made through YEP Water and Agrofood and the new YEP Tailor-made programme. The magazine reflects on 16 batches of Young Experts in YEP Phase I (2013-2019), and the new YEP Tailor-made programme. The YEP Bureau is currently negotiating about YEP Phase II, and hopes to continue the Young Expert Programmes soon. »

The Food & Business Knowledge Platform (F&BKP), Embassy Support Programme and Talent Pool will continue as the Knowledge Programme for Food Security. This Programme will increase the impact of Dutch projects, programmes, policies, investments and business on SDG2 by knowledge brokering across professional divides. It will facilitate the creation, exchange and – particularly – the use of knowledge by Dutch actors and their LMIC partners. »

This publication explores Dutch embassies’ experiences in partnerships in food security and water with private sector involvement. The ‘from aid to trade agenda’ provokes a number of tensions for embassies. A case study was set up in Kenya to explore the role of the Public P in PPPs and to come up with new solutions for food security issues and develop the agribusiness sector in Kenya. »

Young Expert Programmes (YEP) is looking for Dutch candidates for no less than 11 different YEP positions. Main goal of YEP, consisting of YEP Agrofood and YEP Water, is to offer young professionals the opportunity to kickstart their international career and become part of the YEP Global Network.  The current vacancies offer positions in Burundi, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Myanmar, Ghana or Bangladesh. Application for the new YEP positions is open until November 18, 2018. »

During the kick-off of batch 15 of Young Experts in Water and Agrofood on September 17, YEP Effect no. 4 was officially handed over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this edition special attention for the three Young Experts who started their international Agrofood careers at NL Embassies in Benin, Kenya and Rwanda through the Talent Pool. »
