Nine new projects under the second round of the third call of the Food & Business Applied Research Fund (ARF) have received funding from NWO-WOTRO. The new ARF projects will start in the next few months and will take up to three years. »

In October 2016 ARF-2 project members met for a learning exchange during the second International workshop of the Food & Business Applied Research Fund (ARF) in Cotonou, Benin. The workshop focused on knowledge exchange and strategies of co-creation and research uptake. »

During the annual review meeting of the ARF project “Cassava Applied Research for Food Security in Northern Uganda”, the research consortium managed to do a gender and power analysis for the project, especially looking at roles between women and men along the cassava value chain, control and access to resources, decision making and needs. »

Every year since 2013, Forbes assembles a list of 30 incredible young entrepreneurs, all under the age of 35, who are making the most dramatic impact in business in Africa. The list was published on March 13, 2017 and Alloysius Attah was named as one of the 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa. »
