Hilke Jansen is an independent advocacy adviser for the development cooperation sector, aiming to bridge people and politics by creating innovative ideas and effective lobbying and positioning strategies. Over the years she gained specific expertise in food and nutrition security, agriculture and sustainability issues within international aid, trade and development policies.

She was owner of BBO for 10 years; a lobby and advocacy firm, specialized in creating political access and enabling political influence for civil society organizations, agri-food companies and knowledge institutes. Prior to that she worked as international manager for the Young Dutch Farmers Association (NAJK), focusing on the future of young people in farming worldwide.

Hilke studied natural resource management at Wageningen University and has extensive international work experience in Africa and Latin America, working with local organizations and governments in agricultural development programs and building strategic partner networks. Her aim is to connect people, taking into account differing interest, but focusing on common goals and results.
