DESCRIPTION:This year&#8217;s Planetary Security Conference focuses on “Planetary Security: From Analysis to Action” and will take place in The Hague on December 12 & 13\, 2017. The Planetary Security Initiative (PSI) believes now is the time to reduce climate related security risks\, prevent conflict and build peace.  \nThe call\nPSI welcomes suggestions for workshops to be held at the next Planetary Security Conference Therefore they welcome proposals for interactive workshops that spur this momentum from increasing awareness to deepening knowledge and\, most importantly\, to catalysing action to reduce these risks. DESCRIPTION:The Global Alliance for Climate Smart Agriculture (GACSA) has announced the 2017 GACSA Annual Forum\, &#8220;Climate-Smart Agriculture Delivers&#8221;. The Annual Forum will take place at FAO Headquarters in Rome\, Italy from December 12 to 14\, 2017. \nGACSA is an inclusive\, voluntary and action-oriented multi-stakeholder platform on Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA). Its vision is to improve food security\, nutrition and resilience in the face of climate change. GACSA aims to catalyse and help create transformational partnerships to encourage actions that reflect an integrated approach to the three pillars of CSA. \nThe mission of the Alliance is to address the challenges facing food security and agriculture by tapping the wealth and diversity of resources\, knowledge\, information and expertise\, from and between its members\, in order to stimulate concrete initiatives at all levels. \nIt provides a forum for those who work on climate-smart agriculture to share and exchange experiences\, information and views on issues that need immediate attention what works and what does not when adapting to climate change and mitigating green house gases in the agriculture sector. \nMore information on the Annual Forum will follow soon on the website of GACSA. \n

DESCRIPTION:During the second edition of AgriFoodTech on December 13 and 14\, Microcentrum and the AgriFoodTech Platform bring various agrofood sectors together to (re)build the future together! \nSensors\, drones\, autonomous robots\, smart farming\, big data\, vision technology\, smart LEDs …innovations within the Agri and Food sector are developing rapidly. All with the aim to secure the availability of food\, to tackle scarcity and respond to the changing food chain. Working more efficient\, effective\, sustainable and find different production methods\, both in machine construction\, food processing and on land\, is key. \nThis is AgriFoodTech 2017\nAt AgriFoodTech\, trade fair and congress\, we connect the high end sectors of High tech systems & materials\, Agri & Food and Horticulture. As well on the trade fair as within the congress\, the following themes are presented: \n\nMachine construction & automation\nBig data & IT\nSmart & vertical farming\nTesting & quality\n\nOf course\, there is also attention for packaging\, food design and social challenges as food waste\, transparency and safe & healthy food. \nCooperation\nMikrocentrum organizes this second edition of AgriFoodTech in cooperation with AgriFoodTech Platform (FME\, FNLI\, LTO Nederland and 4TU with support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs)\, GMV\, Hightech NL and ZLTO. \n
