DESCRIPTION:On June 21\, 2017\, the Dutch Poultry Centre (DPC)\, VIV worldwide and the Netherlands – African Business Council (NABC) organize an event to inform Dutch poultry companies about poultry in East-Africa\, mainly the sectors in Uganda and Rwanda. \nThe Ambassadors of Rwanda and Uganda will be welcomed and the first findings of the East-Africa poultry report performed by WUR and NABC on behalf of the Food & Business Knowledge Platform will be released. Besides that\, VIV worldwide and NABC will share information about the poultry trade mission to Uganda and Rwanda\, including the Poultry Africa 2017 Expo & Leadership Conference for Sub-Saharan Africa. \nPlease visit the website for the programme of the afternoon which will be closed with a BBQ hosted by DPC. DESCRIPTION:To invest implicates taking risks. Investments abroad\, even more so in developing countries and emerging markets\, involve additional risks. Therefore\, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO)\, Atradius and MIGA\, are organizing an event to give information about the opportunities for Dutch companies to hedge risks in upcoming markets. The possibility to insure the export of capital goods will also be explained. The MIGA-event takes place on June 21\, 2017 at the offices of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and will be held in Dutch. Online registration is possible until June 16\, 2017 through this link.  \nMIGA-event: Verzekeren van investeringen in ontwikkelingslanden\nInvesteren betekent risico’s nemen. Investeringen in het buitenland\, vooral in ontwikkelingslanden en opkomende markten\, brengen nog aanvullende risico’s met zich mee. In Nederland is Atradius een bekende partner voor het verzekeren van dergelijke investeringen. Minder bekend is wat MIGA te bieden heeft\, het verzekeringsonderdeel van de Wereldbank Groep. MIGA dekt overheid gerelateerde risico’s. Denk daarbij aan het risico van nationalisatie\, het risico van niet-inwisselbaarheid van de lokale valuta\, en in het geval dat de lokale overheid de klant is\, het betalingsrisico. \nRVO organiseert daarom samen met Atradius en MIGA een voorlichting over de mogelijkheden voor Nederlandse bedrijven om risico’s bij investeringen in ontwikkelingslanden en opkomende markten af te dekken. Ook de mogelijkheden voor het verzekeren van export van kapitaalgoederen zullen belicht worden. \nNaast Atradius en MIGA zal ook een bedrijf aan het woord komen dat al eens gebruik maakte van de diensten van MIGA. Na de plenaire presentaties heeft u de mogelijkheid om in een één op één gesprek uw eigen casus kort voor te leggen.
