DESCRIPTION:Expo Milano 2015 is a non-commercial Universal Exposition with some very unique and innovative features. Not only is it an exhibition but also a process\, one of active participation among a large number of players around the theme of Feeding the Planet\, Energy for Life. It is sustainable\, technological\, thematic and focused on its visitors. Open from May 1 to October 31\, 2015\, the Expo will host over 130 participants. Running for 184 days\, this giant exhibition site\, covering one million square meters\, is expected to welcome over 20 million visitors.\n\n\nA journey of tastes\nVisitors will experience a unique journey that looks at the complex theme of nutrition. SUMMARY:Third International Conference on Financing for Development
DESCRIPTION:The Third International Conference on Financing for Development will gather high-level political representatives\, including Heads of State and Government\, and Ministers of Finance\, Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation\, as well as all relevant institutional stakeholders\, non-governmental organizations and business sector entities. The Conference will result in an intergovernmentally negotiated and agreed outcome\, which should constitute an important contribution to and support the implementation of the post-2015 development agenda. \nIn Ethiopia\, the international community will convene to agree on critical actions and incentives to catalyze the flow of international and domestic public resources\, to unlock private finance\, to make private-public partnerships more robust and to effectively position and scale up blended instruments for sustainable development. As a major global development institution\, the World Bank Group is well positioned to offer innovative development finance solutions to help implement the post-2015 agenda. \nDuring the Development Finance Forum on May 21-22\, 2015 Minister Ploumen signed a Strategic Partnership with the World Bank & IFC. The Netherlands will play a crucial role at the World Bank in eradicating extreme hunger. Important part of the collaboration is focused on knowledge sharing by the private sector\, knowledge institutions\, social entrepreneurs and the government. DESCRIPTION:The Governments of Ireland\, the Netherlands & Rwanda\, and the IFAD invite you to participate in &#8220;Realizing the Vision: Investing in Rural People for Inclusive and Sustainable Transformation&#8221;\, a high-level side event during the Third International Conference on Financing for Development. \nSummary\nAs the global community gathers in Addis Ababa to agree on the definition of a new international financing framework for sustainable development\, this High-level side event will focus attention on a set of questions that need to be addressed to overcome obstacles to investment in inclusive and sustainable rural transformation.
