VIA Water online survey
VIA Water aims to connect people for water innovations in Africa. VIA Water is one of the five knowledge platforms launched by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expand the knowledge base for its policy on international cooperation, in parallel to the Food & Business Knowledge Platform. VIA Water invites all interested actors to fill out the VIA Water survey online, meant to identify the pressing needs the programme should focus on.
VIA Water aims to connect people for water innovations in Africa. VIA Water believes in the surplus value of working together and connects curious researchers, creative entrepreneurs, innovative NGO’s and progressive policy makers. Together, they develop knowledge and innovations for a better water situation and a sustainable society in Africa.
Defining the pressing needs
VIA Water is seeking the pressing needs the programme should focus on by organizing an online survey (which you can fill out till September 1). By a ‘pressing need’, VIA Water means: a water challenge for the future (five to ten years) that demands for an innovative cross-sectorial co-creative solution in one or several of the seven African countries. What are the innovative ideas and projects that deserve our support and energy? By providing VIA Water with your knowledge, you have the opportunity to influence VIA Water’s agenda and the VIA Water fund for the next four years. It is on these topics that VIA Water will focus its energy and generate innovations.
After analysing the results of the survey and discussing the outcome with the Steering Committee, the final pressing needs on which VIA Water is going to focus will be launched by Minister Ploumen during the Africa Works conference on October 16.
In November a dedicated meeting will take place in the Netherlands for interested parties who want to submit a proposal for the VIA Water Fund.
