The Broker and the F&BKP

The Broker is consortium partner in the secretariat of the F&BKP. The F&BKP Office team is staffed by employees from The Broker, AgriProFocus and WCDI, mostly on part-time basis. Valuable asset of The Broker for the F&BKP is their expertise in knowledge brokering on specific themes, synthesizing existing knowledge, research uptake, composing dossiers, and consultations with experts in meetings and in digital environments.

The Broker has received funds from the F&BKP Knowledge Management Facility to conduct several studies on various themes. Furthermore, The Broker and F&BKP are jointly gathering knowledge and building capacity on the topic “research uptake”.

About The Broker

The Broker is a think net on globalization and development. The Broker seeks to deepen and broaden understanding and provide governments, NGOs and companies with strategic and practical advice. Their strength lies in connecting networks of scientists, academics, policy-makers and practitioners. Not only by bringing them together, but also by synthesizing their knowledge.
The Broker believes that more and better knowledge of international issues can lead to a fairer and safer world, and a more sustainable economy. Far too much knowledge remains unused. That is a waste of money, people and the planet.
