The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) and World Soil Information (ISRIC) are organizing a lunch session at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs on “(Micro) nutrient availability for a more intensified agriculture. Identifying key risks in Africa”.

PBL, ISRIC and the IGG department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are organizing an expert meeting on the link between soil (micro) nutrients, agricultural production and nutrition deficiencies. In the meeting, novel data on soil (micro)nutrient deficiencies are presented and it will be explored whether scarcities in global metal and mineral markets could jeopardize strategies to intensify African agriculture.

The lunch session will take place on May 23, from 12:00 to 14:00 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, room 1E60, with sandwiches, coffee & tea.
