On Thursday October 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosts an external lunch seminar on “Delivering at scale with evidence of impact”. The seminar will discuss the approach used by CABI to implement its award-winning food security programme Plantwise, and how its outcomes and impacts are reported within the DGIS results framework and beyond. The seminar will take place at Rijnstraat 8, 02.D.075 Multi Purpose Room on the 2nd floor , from 12:30-13:40, with a light lunch provided from 11:45.

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) has increasingly become an integral part of delivering development interventions. It ensures transparency, accountability and lesson learning for organisations working in international development, their partners, beneficiaries and donors. The challenge is how to implement robust M&E systems within large-scale agricultural programmes.

The lunch seminar “Delivering at scale with evidence of impact” will discuss the approach used by CABI to implement its award-winning food security programme Plantwise, and how its outcomes and impacts are reported within the DGIS results framework and beyond. Dr Janny Vos, Dr Washington Otieno and Dr Wade Jenner of CABI will present how the programme is implemented in over 30 countries and monitors e.g. numbers of farmers reached (male/female, under 35 yrs), change in productivity, and income.
